In Australia, those invaders from the north changed the lives of the first nations people forever.
Insistence on and reluctance to change, certain things in our lives, will imperil not only
some but much of life on the planet if we proceed. But we can't stop it can we!!?

Woods by daydar

Somewhere in this wilderness- the dry-the heat-the openness
Since times forever more or less- The first ones knew it all.
Year sometime very recently- We broke their dream we braved the sea
Let science go and plunder free to find the myth of woods.

Oh I can't stop it no I never could
Aurgh cut you down and use your ground for woods.

And so for king and countries song we sail away believing
That capture now this billabong we change it and its tree
Will primitives correct their ways because of us be righteous
And run all night till mornings light feels cool through English leaves.

Oh I can't stop it no I never could
Aurgh cut you down and use your ground for woods.

whistle&flute to Orchestra middle(originally organ at end)

A bond of man with country would climate rage restore
Relentless greed your only creed violates our sacred law
A shaman sent a girl to speak she whispered you ignore
And to this place I'll give more space from you and from your saw.

Oh I can't stop it no I never could
Aurgh cut you down and use your ground for woods.

It wasn't long before our fear had taken a grave turn
Her face had changed and re-arranged she said I had to burn
No No No You never saw a man run did I go
Until the force from natures source did lock my feet below.

Come to me it has to be she spoke with lips not moving
We try to fight but she was right we knew that we were losing
Softly down on leafy ground caress away our breathing
For some the style is still denial but all now know the grieving.

Oh I can't stop it no I never could
Aurgh cut you down and use your ground for woods.
