27 python hatchlings released into Chandaka Forest range in Odisha

Forest Department released 27 python hatchlings into Chandaka Forest range in Khorda on July 1. Local residents noticed mother python on May 5 when she was pregnant. Villagers and forest officials kept the python under supervision for over a month. The mother python and her 30 eggs were shifted to a facility of the forest department. The Odisha forest department artificially hatched eggs of a python on June 30. Later, the mother python was released into the forest.
