DCGI may approve Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine

Moderna has sought regulatory approval for its Covid-19 vaccine in India. According to official sources, India's drug regulator may soon grant restricted emergency use authorisation for Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine.
The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) is likely to approve Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine for emergency use in those aged 18 and above, sources told India Today on Tuesday.
Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company Cipla has filed an application with the DCGI seeking permission to import Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine in India.
