The organising committee of Tokyo Olympics has listed out a few dos and don'ts for the participants. Among the list, breaking tradition, is the committee's refusal to distribute condoms. However, athletes will be allowed to bring in alcoholic beverages into the village to be consumed in their rooms. These are part of the committee's measures to ensure the safety of the athletes amid the coronavirus pandemic.

कोरोना महमारी के खलल के बीच खेलों के महासमर ओलंपिक्स का आगाज इस साल Tokyo Olympics में 23 जुलाई से होने जा रहा है। जापान की न्यूज एजेंसी क्योडो के अनुसार ओलंपिक समिति ने खिलाड़ियों को उनके रहने के दौरान कंडोम बांटने से इंकार किया है जबकि उनके यहां से जाते हुए दिये जायेंगे। गौरतलब है कि 1988 के सियोल ओलंपिक्स के दौरान एडस के प्रति जागरुकता फैलाने के लिये खिलाड़ियों के बीच condoms बांटने की प्रथा की शुरुआत की गई थी लेकिन कोरोना वायरस की गंभीरता को देखते हुए इस साल कंडोम नहीं बांटने का फैसला लिया गया है।
