Rajasthan transport department issues order to install GPS system in ambulances to curb overcharging

After India Today exposed the ambulance overcharging racket, the Rajasthan Transport department issued an order to install a vehicle tracking device in all the ambulances which were overcharging the patient's family. India Today's team, for a long time, conducted an undercover investigation and found that ‘ambulance sharks’ outside Jaipur’s big hospitals are charging people exorbitant amounts, even for short distances, which violated the norms laid down by the state government during the pandemic.
