Jabari Parker Practice Interview | Celtics vs Nets

Jabari Parker was interviewed after the Celtics practice in between games one and two of their series vs the Brooklyn Nets. He spoke about getting big-time minutes in game one, commented on Brad Stevens, and spoke out about former NBA player Caleb Swanigan.
Parker piled on over 21 minutes in game one, getting big-time action. This was what he had to say about the opportunity: “I just find my blessings in any situation… I just love the game, I love to play the game of basketball… I just enjoy every second that I play… I think going forward I’m going to use that same perspective in more games to come.”
He also talked about Coach Brad Stevens and his experience with him since being with the team: “Just being a fan of basketball I love his journey… I think he recruited me when he was at Butler… definitely want to please my coach and do what he asks of me… just try to be a team guy.”
Lastly, Parker concluded his interview by making a statement about former NBA player Caleb Swanigan. Swanigan has been in the news recently as pictures of him have surfaced where it seems as though he gained a lot of weight. This is what Parker had to say on the situation: “I have a friend who’s been scrutinized on social media and I just wanted to be his voice because I know he doesn’t get one right now… that’s a guy who on the internet has gained a lot of weight… you never know what a person is going through… everybody has some type of comfort… you can’t discriminate for handling their situation the best way that they can… I know that he’s working his way back to where he wants to be… I just wanted to give that little piece of solitude to Caleb Swanigan.”
