Kareri village is about 4 hrs walk from the last road head of a village called Ghera.
Kareri trek starts once you cross over Nolli Bridge, from where you need to trek to Reoti, which is also the more frequented campsite for Kareri Lake. Reoti is the campsite for the more arduous Minkiani Pass The lake is a freshwater one at an altitude of 2950 m, and is quite a charmer and a perfect spot for a day of lazy, picnicking. Once at the lake, you can pore over uninterrupted views of the Dhauladhars, Indrahara Pass, Mun Peak.
