Lalan Fakir was an 18th century bard who was one of the pioneers in establishing Baul culture in Bengal. Born in Kushthia in 1772 Lalan was a writer, composer and singer as well of some of the best baul songs.

In the year 1986 Hindusthan Records released this unique number written & composed by Lalan, which was rendered by the famous folk singer Amar Pal. Again after 34 years the same numbers has been recorded in the voice of Shampa Biswas
