“For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” -Isaiah 9:6
Christmas comes at a time where the Lord reminds us what’s important in life. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifice God has made on our behalf by sending His only eternal Son to save us from our sins and eternal separation from our Creator. We will never totally understand why God would put His Son through this. He could have started all over again after Adam and Eve disobeyed His commands. Yet, the Bible tells us that God is love and He loved us before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4, John 3:16). Jesus told us that we will spend eternity knowing God and Christ whom God had sent (John 17:3). We look forward to that day with great anticipation when we shall finally see God’s face (Rev. 22:3-4). We are eternally grateful for His salvation. Everyday, I am in awe that God saved me from Islam, adopted me as His child, and allowed me to call Him, FATHER.
Knowing these biblical truths, this year has been a great challenge to humble all of us. Our trust in the Lord, our understanding of His sovereignty, His love, provision (James 1:17), comfort, and healing. Our faith have never been more strong. The Lord taught our family what’s important in life and the ultimate goal: that’s advancing His Kingdom, and staying faithful to the end. You have always been in our prayers that the Lord saw you through this challenging year with your hope focused on Him.
