China has a small but growing Black community. Many of them come for work or study. Some go on to raise families. But in a country where over 90% of the population is Han Chinese, it can be difficult to adapt. Earlier this year, African communities in China complained of unfair treatment over coronavirus concerns.

What are the challenges of living and growing up Black in China? We talked to three men about their experiences.
