The Louvre museum in France is auctioning off rare artistic "experiences",... in a bid to raise funds amid its COVID-19 lockdown.
They include a walk along the museum's rooftop and the chance to get hold of contemporary artworks and luxury goods.
But the highest bidder will get the chance to witness the annual examination of Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece the Mona Lisa.
"It's really an unprecedented possibility. In the past, only a few statesmen have had the possibility to attend this very moment when they were visiting the country...But for the wider public, it's rather impossible."
The auction is expected to raise more than $1.2 million dollars, with up to 30-thousand coming from the "Mona Lisa" behind-the scenes museum experience.
The Louvre, like other museums, is struggling financially as it has remained closed for more than five months.
