Chinese #MeToo pioneer takes prominent TV host to court over alleged sexual harassment

A court hearing of a sexual harassment case against a prominent Chinese male television host began in Beijing on December 2, 2020. Supporters call it a pioneering moment for the #MeToo movement in China. Zhou Xiaoxuan is suing media figure Zhu Jun for forcibly kissing her during her internship at state broadcaster CCTV in 2014.
