Congress implodes after loss; Alagiri may tie-up with BJP; more

Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal came down heavily on the Congress leadership, saying there has been no word from the party on its poor performance in the Bihar assembly election. The Congress won 19 out of the 70 seats it contested in Bihar as part of the RJD-led grand alliance. The opposition alliance ended up with 110 seats, while the NDA retained power bagging 125 seats in the 243-member assembly.

Meanwhile, DMK party supremo Karunanidhi's elder son MK Alagiri is likely to flout his own political party, ahead of the crucial 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Alagiri is also likely to meet Home Minister Amit Shah on November 21, according to sources. Sources say he is likely to tie-up with BJP.
