A 31-year-old Chennai police Venkatesh was set ablaze by his girlfriend at the police quarters near Avadi, allegedly over his new relationship with another woman cop. He was at Kilpauk Medical College (KMC) Hospital, for the past few days and his condition said to be critical. Yesterday he was dead. The Tirumullaivoyal police arrested his girlfriend Asha on charges of attempted murder.
