India Under Lockdown: Karnataka Pineapple Farmers Face Trouble In Getting Produce To Market

Amid the coronavirus crises, pineapple farmers in Karnataka are stressed. Around 500-620 tons of their produce is getting spoilt in the fields. A farmer said, “We are very stressed.” They want the government to include fruits under essential goods in order to get their produce to reach the markets. Similarly, farmers from Polali in Dakshina Kannada are not able to sell their watermelon.
