As the monsoon started few days back, Chennai and coastal regions nearby has started to receive heavy rain fall. The streets and bridges are filled with rain water and still there is no way for water moving out and flooded all over the streets and main roads, which makes public suffer. As per current weather condition of Chennai, rain is likely get heavier and continues for another two days. Current rain fall is recorded more than previous year's rain fall. The Chennai city was just not prepared to handle this because of the mindless development that has taken place over the years. Lowlands have been taken over for construction, and storm water drains have been choked, leading to the blockage of water exits. Hope we all remember the flood happened in the year 2015, which had created the lots of impact and turned many peoples homeless. Now, government has set up many food centers, flood relief centers and flood relief helpline numbers to help the people who got struck in floods. Youngsters, and other peoples had come front to help out the peoples even before the government provided the necessary action. Is the current government has set up necessary action for this upcoming rain? instead of depending fully on government, we should make necessary precautions before the heavy rain hits us.
