KBS to ensure M6 runs smoothly, has high hopes on Msia's reps

Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abd Halim welcomed the upcoming Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championship, set to take place in Malaysia from Nov 21 to Dec 15, this year.  Speaking after the M6 draw ceremony on Friday (Nov 8 ), Adam Adli assured that the ministry would ensure the event runs smoothly from all aspects, particularly with the arrival of international athletes.  He also expressed high hopes for the two Malaysian teams, Selangor Red Giants (SRG) and Team Vamos, praising their exceptional performances during the Grand Final of the Mobile Legends Professional League Malaysia (MPL Malaysia) on Nov 4. 00:14We stood together on the M5 stage in Manila, announcing Malaysia as the host for M6.

00:21Today, as we approach the M6 World Championship,

00:24we celebrate a significant milestone with the M6 Group Stage draw.

00:30Congratulations to all 23 teams that have made it this far in the journey.

00:36eSports has grown tremendously, both globally and here in Malaysia.

00:41Our games industry has seen an average growth of 8.9% annually since 2020,

00:48with over 50% of Malaysians now actively engaged as gamers.

00:55This robust ecosystem offers diverse career pathways from professional athletes

01:01to team owners, content creators and event organizers.

01:05A prime example is our own Solos, once a national MLBB athlete,

01:11now the most watched Malaysian creator and co-owner of Team Vamos,

01:15who will proudly represent Malaysia in M6.

01:19His inspiring journey is being adapted into a film, Game of Life, set for release next year.

01:26Ladies and gentlemen, hosting M6 reaffirms Malaysia's status as an ideal location

01:31for international events and eSports tourism.

01:34The M series is among the most watched eSports events globally,

01:39and hosting it here in Malaysia brings not only visibility,

01:43but economic benefits to local communities.

01:46Through this event, we showcase our unique culture and unmatched hospitality,

01:51positioning Malaysia as a key player in eSports and tourism.

01:56Ladies and gentlemen, in the recent Malaysia Madani Budget 2025,

02:00the government allocated RM20 million to strengthen our eSports ecosystem.

02:06This funding will support training, TVET integration, local tournaments

02:12and the development of eSports facilities.

02:15We recognize that our young people need access to these resources to compete internationally,

02:21and our commitment ensures that Malaysia continues producing world-class talents in eSports.

02:29The success of the Selangor Red Giants at the Mid-Season Cup 2024 in Saudi Arabia,

02:35where they won Malaysia's first major international MLBB title,

02:39is a testament to our capabilities.

02:42However, this success is only the beginning.

02:47We must continuously invest in nurturing and supporting our next generation of eSports champions.

02:55We are deeply appreciative of partners like Moonton Games,

02:59who support the industry from the grassroots level through the global events like the M6.

03:05The MLBB Academy League Malaysia, launched by Moonton Games,

03:09provides young players with structured pathways into professional eSports,

03:14complementing the MPL Malaysia, Malaysia's most popular national league.

03:20The government is dedicated to empowering eSports companies,

03:24ensuring that Malaysians can fully embrace the opportunities offered by this dynamic industry.
