Covid-19: Closing schools should be 'last resort' (WHO)

In a joint press conference between the WHO, UNESCO and UNICEF held in Geneva, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declares that closing schools during the Covid-19 pandemic must be a "last resort".
Audrey Azoulay, the director general of the UNESCO, adds "The longer schools remain closed, the more damaging the consequences especially for children from more disadvantaged backgrounds".
