The diet that should be followed by infertile men

Smoking should be avoided, drinking alcohol should be avoided, and moderate exercise should be practiced.
They should avoid hot water bath, avoid tight dresses, have a good night sleep and practice meditation, should avoid continually sitting for long works and take regular breaks.

Some vitamins and minerals may play a part in helping you to conceive a child. However, we still need to learn more about the exact role of each nutrient. If you can, try to get all the vitamins and minerals you need through your diet, rather than by taking supplements.

Zinc

Zinc plays an important role in conceiving. Studies on men with fertility issues have suggested that getting enough zinc can help to increase the number of sperm in each ejaculation (concentration) and improve how the sperm move (motility).
Food sources of zinc include meat, shellfish, dairy foods, bread and cereal products.

Selenium

Selenium is vital for healthy sperm. There's some evidence that selenium supplements can improve the semen quality of men with fertility problems.
Many studies have measured the effects of selenium taken alongside other supplements. In one study, selenium taken in combination with vitamin E improved sperm movement (motility) and shape (morphology), and resulted in more pregnancies. So it's possible that selenium has the best effect as part of a balanced, varied diet.
Food sources of selenium include Brazil nuts, fish, meat and eggs.

Vitamin D

Research suggests that vitamin D may be important for helping sperm move well (motility). In one large study of infertile men, those with vitamin D deficiency had lower sperm motility than those who were getting the recommended amount of vitamin D.
Our bodies make vitamin D in response to sunlight. We also get it through eating foods containing vitamin D. Good sources include oily fish, red meat, liver, egg yolks and foods fortified with vitamin D, such as margarine and some breakfast cereals.

Folic acid

You probably already know that it's important for your partner to take a folic acid supplement as soon as you start trying for a baby. But there's also a small amount of evidence that this important nutrient may play a role in healthy sperm.

However, more research is needed to be sure of the fertility effects on men. There's no need for you to take a folic acid supplement, but it won’t do you any harm to get plenty in your diet.
