'Super Anaconda' is in Indian Railways. The Ministry of Railways is operating a Super Anaconda train covering a total of three goods train of 177 wagons together to transport goods faster and in much larger quantities. Its length is less than two kilometers. Rail has succeeded in operating this special freight train in Orissa on an experimental basis for transporting goods. And so this time they want to start using it elsewhere in the country. In the current Corona situation, the Ministry of Railways has taken initiative to deliver daily necessities all over the country. Railway board officials believe that such a super anaconda freight train will play a more helpful role in achieving that goal.
According to Rail, the maximum speed of the Super Anaconda was 60 kilometers per hour. The average speed was kept at 40 kilometers per hour.
The railways said the move was aimed at speeding up the delivery of essential commodities, but about 15,000 tones of coal were transported in the Super Anaconda test run. The value of which is about one crore rupees. The Ministry of Railways has run Super Anaconda on three electric locomotives with 6,000 horsepower (HP or horsepower).
