NFL News: Richard Sherman Calls Cam Newton's Deal With Patriots 'Disgusting'
Cam Newton's deal with the New England Patriots is for the league minimum and it has been reported that the offer from the Pats was the only one on the table for the former league MVP. At least one NFL player feels as though Newton deserved far more. Richard Sherman took to Twitter to defend Newton and went as far as to call the QB's new deal 'disgusting.'
Newton has a track record of success but he will need to stay on the field in New England after appearing in only two games for the Panthers last year.
