Today I'm going to do a (LinkedIn) engagement pod software review of four different pod softwares for LinkedIn. Now one of them is a paid software, one pod and the other three: Alcapod, Le Clap Club and LinkBoost are currently free and at varying degrees of testing still before they monetize. Now the way that I'm reviewing these pod softwares the criteria that I'm using is based on pod safety engagement functionality engagement, pod quality, customer support, pricing and value for money. And today I'll start with Lempod. Now Lempod is the incumbent when it comes to LinkedIn pods. They're the original and have been in the game for more than a year. They set the bar for their competitors pretty high. And I'm going to show a in the box beside me the functionality for Lempod.
Next up is Lempod's pod safety. The Lempod team has done a decent job on pod safety features relative to the new competitors they have. So in the box beside me, you can see the pod safety features that Lempod has incorporated so far for their pod safety. Next is engagement pod quality. So Lempod engagement pod quality is pretty average. I mean, engagement pod quality itself is a relatively new term that clearly these software developers have been slow to catch on to. In fact, I'm the one who created the term engagement portfolio. So you could say I was an authority on pod quality. So when it comes to engagement pod quality with Lempod you can buy monthly access to a pod based on a location, profession or industry, but there isn't much in the way of exclusivity or vetting or quality controls or quality standards in any of those LinkedIn pods.
So they all cost the same price and there's really very little incentive for contributing engagements only really just taking engagements. Next is with customer support. The next criteria is customer support is actually pretty good relative to the others. I've experienced responses to my queries within 24 to 48 hours on average. Which with the other engagement pod software developers it can take a week or longer in, in some cases, but we'll talk about that in a little bit. And finally, for Lempod the pricing value for money Lempod's engagement pods are,.. I mean, the thing is engagement pods are a difficult thing to price out because they, they vary wildly in terms of pod quality and that kind of thing as well as like the the functionality. So the way that Lempod has monetized is they currently charge five bucks per pod per month, and you get one engagement every 24 hours. That's boosted. And for private pods, it's $2 per member per month. And when it comes to all of the other engagement pod softwares out there, Lempod for sure is currently the king. Next up we review Alcapod.
