IMJIN WAR Ep. 6 - Yi Sun-sin Strikes Back!

With Hideyoshi’s invasion army marching north and about the take Seoul, a frantic Korean government orders naval commander Yi Sun-sin into action against the Japanese navy. Yi Sun-sin’s Cholla Left Navy consists of panokson warships and one kobukson, or turtle ship. He forms a combined fleet with Won Kyun (Won Gyun) and Won’s four remaining panokseon and they head east to attack the Japanese navy. The operation is an overwhelming success, the first good news for the Koreans in the war. In battles at Okpo, Sacheon, Tangpo and Tanghangpo, Yi Sun-sin destroys more than 100 Japanese ships.
