LOS ANGELES — When people think of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the name invokes more feelings than solely the accomplishments he achieved for the LA Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks. Of course, Kareem did accomplish quite a bit, including 6 NBA World Championships (5 for Lakers, 1 for Bucks), the NBA All-Time Scoring champion, 6 NBA MVPs, Finals MVPs and the man who possessed the most unstoppable weapon in all of sports, the SKY HOOK!

But, if you ask Kareem, he’s most likely say his most proud moments came while off the court. It could be his place in civil rights, standing with Russell, King and Ali... it could be the impact he had on his teammates and vice versa.

Michael ‘Coop’ Cooper delivers a very rare interview with his former teammate on the second episode of his brand new podcast, exclusively for CLNS. Today’s is the first of the bunch with commentary on Magic Johnson and how he selflessly found a place that fit his team best.

Stay tuned for more topics that deep dive into the brilliant mind of a man who rarely ‘disarms’ and Coop got the big fella to do just that.
