Nike to Donate Over $15 Million in Coronavirus Support

Nike to Donate Over $15 Million
in Coronavirus Support Nike recently announced its pledge of
more than $15 million to aid local communities
in the fight against COVID-19. The company’s executives personally donated
a combined $10 million to various organizations
in Oregon, where Nike’s headquarters is located. The Oregon Food Bank received $1 million, the Oregon
Community Recovery Fund received $2 million and
the Oregon Health and Science University
received $7 million. An additional $1 million will be donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund by the Nike Foundation, as well
as another $1 million to the Oregon Community Fund. The King Baudouin Foundation, Memphis Mid-South
Food Bank, Community Foundation of Greater
Memphis and Boston Foundation will also receive
donations from the Nike Foundation. To further support the communities of their
employees, Nike also announced a two-to-one match
of all donations made locally, nationally and internationally in support of COVID-19 response. All of these donations are in addition to
the $1.4 million donated by Nike to the China
Youth Development Foundation in January.
