The biggest initiative for improvement of prisoners is being carried out at Yerwada Jail in Maharashtra. Yerwada Central Jail in Pune seems to be a laboratory for such reforms. Different methods of work are done to improve the prisoners and their rehabilitation. Inmates are also given training. Many work is done by prisoners as well as their skills in the industry.

महाराष्ट्र की यरवदा जेल में कैदियों के सुधार की सबसे बड़ी पहल चलाई जा रही है. पुणे की यरवदा सेंट्रल जेल ऐसे ही सुधारों की प्रयोगशाला बनती दिख रही है. कैदियों को सुधारने और उनके पुनर्वासन के मकसद से अलग-अलग तरीके के काम उनसे कराए जाते हैं. कैदियों को ट्रेनिंग भी दी जाती है. कैदियों से उद्योग के साथ-साथ खुद के हुनर वाले भी कई काम कराए जाते हैं.
