While speaking to ANI on Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its alliance parties are set to hold a ‘mega rally’ against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Chennai on December 23, the Spokesperson of DMK, Saravanan Annadurai said, “This rally is organised by our party leaders and president MK Stalin to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). We have been opposing all the moves of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which divides the country on communal fault lines.” “We opposed this in parliament (both houses) and our party MPs stated out the reasons that why this bill should be opposed. We also had protest at our party headquarters and DMK is a party which stands for secularism,” he added. “Six months back MK Stalin stated that India should prepare for a second freedom struggle under this draconian BJP government,” Annadurai further stated.
