Here's my movie about retrieving my drone and GoPro camera from the bottom of a freezing river! Crazy you say? Not if you're careful. Check it out!

While flying under a highway bridge, my 3DR solo drone crashed and dove into the river's Winter deep, taking along with it a GoPro camera with many hours of footage onboard. Can a drone and camera survive for any length of time underwater?
Post edit: When shooting the talking points I initially had the sense that the Solo was upright on the bottom of the river when I retrieved it. Upon thinking about how I actually hooked the propeller arm and brought it up, It actually may have been inverted.
To be Clear: I don't recommend giving your drone a river bath. While I could get much of the drone to function after the water crash, several parts of it could not saved. The original gimbal could not be repaired, for example. The gimbal test shot (functioning) was of the replacement gimbal. The original gimbal was completely wonkey after its river bath. (as seen in the previous gimbal shot) Anyway. Enjoy!
