At the age of 15 Marco Misciagna graduated in violin and viola at the "N. Piccinni" Conservatory in Bari with the highest marks and honorable mention. After he obtained his specialization degree at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome with the highest marks. As the best student of the Conservatory he was invited by the ex-President of the Italian Republic Ciampi to the Palazzo of Quirinale in Rome. For years he was Principal Soloist of the Spanish string orchestra of Màlaga, with which he recorded for the Deutsche Grammophon record company and very young he embarked on a brilliant solo career performing in the most famous and important concert halls of Europe and America , such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Vienna Musikverein and New York's Carnegie Hall.
He has held Masterclasses at important institutions all over the world and has been Professor of violin and viola at the "Italian Conservatory" in Paris and the Higher Institute of Music in Namur, Belgium. In January 2014 the Belgian Government, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and International Relations, appointed Marco Misciagna "Highest Repute Artist".
He is currently Professor of Viola at the "G.Da Venosa" State Conservatory in Potenza and Honorary Professor of the University of Sousse, Honorary Professor of the "Estaban Salas" Conservatory of Cuba, Honorary Professor of the "Pettman Academy of Music" in Auckland in New Zealand, Honorary Professor of the Yerevan State Conservatory in Armenia, Honorary Professor of the Rachmaninov State Conservatory of Tambov and of the Far Eastern State Academy of Art in Vladivostok in Russia, as well as "Honorary Citizen" of the City of Ayvalik in Turkey. In 2018 he received the Gold Medal for the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Kiev Opera House from the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and was awarded the Title of "Visitante Distinguido" (Distinguished Artist) from the City of Santiago de Cuba. In addition to having received numerous awards, prizes and awards, such as the Academic Oscar "City of Naples", the Gold Medal "Maison des Artistes" at the Aula Magna of the "La Sapienza" University of Rome and the "Vigna d 'Argento' at the Palazzo Montecitorio, he is "Messenger of Peace" for Assisi Pax International and "Ambassador of Peace in the World" of the Universum Academy Switzerland - International University of Peace. He is Lieutenant Commissioner of the Voluntary Military Corps of the Italian Red Cross, auxiliary to the Armed Forces, with a Presidential Decree.
