Surprisingly! Stray cattle like bulls, cows and calves have turned non-vegetarian in Goa. The cattle have turned non-vegetarian in Calangute and Candolim areas as they've become habituated to eat mixed waste dumped by restaurants which also consist of scraps of chicken and fish. According to Goa Garbage Management Minister Michael Lobo, “Stray cattle - bulls, cows, calves, in North Goa coastal belt, especially Calangute&Candolim have turned non-vegetarian as they've become habituated to eat mixed waste dumped by restaurants which also consist of scraps of chicken and fish” Goa is one of the tourism hotspots of the country and Calangute and Candolim receive high footfall of tourists.
