Paducah Police Department, Kentucky - Suspect arrested in Paducah, hotel robbery. A man wanted for robbing the Country Inn and Suites on Monday night is now in custody. Cory T. Phillips, 26, of West Paducah, Ky., was arrested on charges of first-degree robbery and receiving stolen property (firearm). Police say he was arrested after a routine traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon. Deputies say the stopped a gray Dodge Stratus on Bridge Street in Paducah after the deputy saw the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
According to the deputy, the driver, Cory Phillips, was acting nervous, so he started questioning him.
In the car, the deputy found an Apple computer that had been reported stolen in the same burglary of the home on Adams Street, and a white t-shirt like the one found near the robbery scene.
Phillips was interviewed at the police department and charged. He was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
The suspect was described as having a thin build, curly, blonde hair and was wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt, jeans, white shoes, a white shirt around his face and an Alabama University sock hat.

According to police, an employee told them the man came in with a handgun and demanded money.
They say the clerk eventually threw money on the counter and the robber placed the gun on the countertop to put the money into a plastic bag. The clerk grabbed the gun and pointed it at the robber and he ran away.
Police say the man came back inside the business and the clerk again pointed the gun at him. The robber then left in a dark-colored passenger car.
According to police, the handgun was recovered at the scene.
Police say a computer check showed the gun was reported stolen from a home on Adams Street in Paducah on Sept. 20.
They say a white shirt and sock hat were recovered nearby on McBride Lane.
The investigation is ongoing.
