UNSC committee allows imports of vehicles, equipment into N. Korea for aid work

The UN Security Council's North Korea sanctions committee has allowed deliveries of items worth of over 300-thousand U.S. dollars into North Korea for humanitarian purposes.
According to the committee's website, the World Health Organization was allowed last week to take three vehicles into the North for the safe transportation of its staff here.
An Irish NGO, Concern Worldwide, was also allowed to import threshers, tractors, and other devices to improve water quality for their work on nutrition and hygiene.
The committee made eight exemptions to its sanctions in September for humanitarian work in North Korea.
That's far higher than the three exemptions in August and four in July.
