Good morning, starting with the updates on typhoon...the 18th typhoon of the season, Mitag, continues to travel in a northwest direction. It will hit Mokpo in Jeollanam-do province on Thursday morning and pass through the southern provinces before departing into the East Sea.
For today, Jeju will see 30 to 80 millimeters of rainfall and it will be a lot heavier on mountainous regions, while southern coastal regions will see 10 to 50 millimeters.
Brace for torrential showers into Thursday.
Temperature-wise, it's the first day of a new month but it feels nothing like October today, morning lows are ranging between 16 and 23 degrees, 4 to 5 degrees higher than the seasonal norms.
Seoul saw a high of 29.9 degrees Celsius on Monday and it's going to be as hot as yesterday, but southern parts of the country will see cooler temperatures due to rain.
