South Korea and the U.S. will hold a two-day high-level defense talks in Seoul starting next Thursday.
The defense ministry says Seoul's Deputy Defense Minister Chung Suk-hwan and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for East Asia Heino Klinck will head the 16th Korea-U.S. Integrated Defense Dialogue.
Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, the transition of wartime operational control, and ways to strengthen and expand ROK-U.S. alliance... will likely take center stage.
The biannual meeting is the first such meeting since South Korea ended a military intel-sharing pact, or GSOMIA, with Japan.
