MANILA, Philippines – A remarkable last-gasp turnaround by the Netherlands earned them a 2-1 comeback victory over Mexico and a place in the quarter-finals of the 2014 World Cup. Mexico made the breakthrough goal three minutes after halftime when Giovani dos Santos held off two challenges before firing a powerful low shot into the corner. The Dutch however equalized in the 88th minute, then won it with a controversial stoppage time penalty. -- Mornings @ ANC, June 30, 2014.
