MANILA - Former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada said it pains him as a father to see his two sons, Senators Jinggoy Estrada and JV Ejercito, fighting. Estrada and Ejercito are sons of the former President, the former to former Senator Loi Estrada while the latter to incumbent San Juan mayor Guia Gomez. Estrada said he had already tried to make peace between the two a long time ago. "It pains me as a father. It happens really. You cannot avoid it but eventually I think blood is thicker than water," he said. He also said the wedge between the two is due to sibling rivalry since both were elected mayor of San Juan City and now senator. He said the two sometimes try to one up each other. Asked who he is closer to, Estrada said: "Both. I am very fair with the two of them." ANC HEADSTART, June 19, 2014
