An extended look with multiple angles at the incredible moment that was captured as an unusually bright meteor illuminates the sky in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on Saturday night (August 31).

"I noticed a bright light outside when I was watching TV at a friend's place. I thought it must've been just a car with headlights turning and driving by. Then a friend mentioned that there was a meteor, so I checked my security camera around that time and found it! I knew I had to post it as it was so bright it lit up everything like it was day time. I couldn't believe it that my Nest Cam caught it as it mainly points at my wall and doorstep," said Lincoln Ho, a local blogger and owner of the door-cam.

The bright streak was likely a bolide — a very bright meteor — or maybe even a super bolide, according to Mike Hankey, operations manager for the American Meteor Society, who spoke to media regarding the event.

Based on the images sent to the society so far, Hankey said it appears to be on the brighter end of the meteor spectrum that ranges from meteor, to fireball, to bolide and super bolide.
