Things got ugly after the University of Minnesota Gophers men’s hockey team lost over the weekend. Students and fans clashed with police after the school’s 7-4 loss to Union College in the “Frozen Four” NCAA title game. Police used pepper spray and fired non-lethal ammunition into the crowd. Authorities said some fans taunted police officers and even laid down in the street. Police arrested 19 people. There was also damage in the area, including broken car windows and at least two fires. -- Mornings @ ANC, April 14, 2014.
