De Lima: No deal yet to make Napoles a state witness

Justice Secretary Leila de Lima earlier revealed that Janet Lim Napoles has asked the government to drop the charges against her and to make her a state witness. De Lima said on Wednesday there's no deal so far but the doors remain open to that possibility pending an exhaustive evaluation of her statement. The justice secretary confirmed without hesitation that Napoles had implicated Senators Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jinggoy Estrada, and Juan Ponce Enrile in her statement. But her lips were sealed when asked out other senators implicated. She assured the public Napoles' statement will not be sanitized to protect administration allies. -- ANC Dateline Philippines, April 23, 2014
