Vhong thanks girlfriend for second chance

MANILA -- Embattled host-actor Vhong Navarro on Thursday thanked his long-time non-showbiz girlfriend for giving him a second chance amid his personal problems. "Masarap lang 'yung feeling na pinagkatiwalaan ka lang ulit at ito 'yung pagsisimula namin ulit," Navarro said in a chance interview after "It's Showtime." The actor could not contain his emotions after the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday dismissed the rape charges filed against him by model Deniece Cornejo. Despite this, he noted that the battle is not yet over and that he won't stop until he gets justice. Apart from Cornejo, two other women have filed separate charges of rape against the "Da Possessed" star. Asked about the other rape charges, Navarro said: "Basta po ang gusto ko lang sabihin ay wala po akong nilapastangan o ni-rape." Navarro also thanked his supporters and fans. "Sa lahat po ng nagdarasal at sumuporta sa akin maraming maraming salamat po," he said.
