Aiza Seguerra's fiancee returns to acting

MANILA - Liza Diño, the fiancee of singer Aiza Seguerra, has returned to acting via the upcoming ABS-CBN series "Mirabella." The series, which stars teen actress Julia Barretto, will premiere on Monday (March 24) before "TV Patrol." Diño said she is happy to have her first television project after returning from the United States. "Very happy. Actually ito 'yung first TV ko after I left US. Ito 'yung isa sa signs na hiningi ko especially moving here kasi nga, I'm with Aiza. Going towards that direction, siyempre malaking bagay sa akin na magkaroon ako ng trabaho rito, kasi it's a big move from US. I'm really thankful sa Dreamscape kasi as soon as umuwi ako rito, mga two months pa lang, kinausap na nila ako for this role," she said. Diño made it clear, however, that Seguerra has nothing to do with her newest showbiz project. "No. Actually, it was more because I won as best actress in the Metro Manila Film Fest. I stayed here because I made that decision, kasi sabi ko sayang, baka I can get back into acting," she said, referring to her award from the 2012 MMFF for the New Wave category film "In Nomine Matris." "I am a chef in the US pero you know, first love ko pa rin ang acting. So during the time na nagiging OK kami ni Aiza, pinresent ako ng manager ko sa Dreamscape and they put me in. So even before the whole relationship came about, isa siya sa reason kung bakit nabigyan ko ang sarili ko, kasi siyempre may anak na ako, mahirap naman na just moving here because of love. "I mean, I love the fact that I was looking for an opportunity here and I found love, but more than anything, I guess siguro nasa right time din na mabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na magtrabaho ulit," she said. Diño said she is just thankful to be given the opportunity to work here again. "Alam mo sa totoo lang, I wake up every day just thanking the Lord kasi lahat ng bagay na iniisip ko na magiging problema ay hindi nagiging problema. It's full of positivity," she said. She went on to say how Seguerra has been supportive of her decisions. "Being with Aiza, she's so supportive of me and how we live our life right now as a couple ay tanggap na rin ng mga tao and we get a lot of really good feedback kasi hindi naman talaga ito typical na relasyon especially now nasa TV ako, pwede nila akong i-judge. Pero walang naging problema sa Dreamscape. Aiza is always with me on the set. Talagang very supportive siya, so I cannot ask for anything else," she said. Diño and Seguerra are preparing for their wedding abroad next year. "Next year actually 'yung wedding. Hopefully, everything works out," she said.
