Freelance model found dead in GenSan

A college student student was found dead in General Santos City last Friday. The victim, identified as Cindy Rose Villena, was found dead at a grassy lot in Barangay Apopong. Police said Villena was severely beaten up using a bottle. Medico-legal findings said the victim drowned based on the mud found in her respiratory tract. Villena, a 3rd year Mass Communications student at the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, was a freelance model and an aspiring broadcast journalist. Investigators said they will examine the hair found in the hands of the victim as these could belong to her killer.
