Safety of Nazarene devotees a priority: Isko

MANILA - Manila Vice-Mayor Isko Moreno on Thursday said the city has ample preparations for this year's Black Nazarene Feast. Still, Moreno called on devotees to look out for each other to minimize injuries. The vice-mayor said the procession's route was changed and will no longer pass the MacArthur Bridge due to concerns about the bridge's stability. Moreno said around 6,000 police officers have been deployed to maintain order in the Black Nazarene's route. CCTV cameras have also been installed in vital areas. Mornings@ANC, January 9, 2014
