Family eyes foul play in death of college student in Manila

MANILA -- The family of a 20-year-old college student who died after falling off from a condominium building does not believe that the latter committed suicide. Jethro Pechon fell off the 24th floor of Grand Tower II building in Taft Avenue, Malate Saturday evening. He landed on the 3-ft kiddie pool at the 7th floor of the building. Police said Petchon may have committed suicide, noting that the latter seemed to be undergoing depression as indicated in his messages to his girlfriend found in his laptop computer. Petchon's relatives, however, said someone may have sneaked into the building due to its lax security and kill Petchon. They said the student received death threats due to some P60,000 in unpaid debt. – report from Zyann Ambrosio, ABS-CBN News
