Hundreds of Japanese people have taken to the streets of Tokyo to demand the Abe government renounce its removal of South Korea from its list of trusted trade partners.
A Japanese civic group on Tuesday gathered in front of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's official residence,... expressing their deep opposition to Tokyo's trade restrictions on South Korean companies.
They also slammed Abe's lack of remorse on sensitive historical issues,... including Japan's wartime recruitment of forced laborers and they called on the Japanese government to face up to its past wrongdoings.
Signs at the rally read "NO Abe," and called on the Japanese leader to stop using economic means as a means of retaliation over historical issues.
