Ch Fourcas-hosten is located in Listrac in Médoc, Bordeaux. The chateau is one of those that have been classified as Cru Bourgeois.
It’s a property of 20 ha with merlot on clay-limestone (argilo-calcaire), and 27 hectares on sand (graves) for cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc.
After 18 months of ownership he Renaud Mommeja shares with us the experiences as a « recent » winemaker.
Three vintages: 2007 in primeur, a very interesting vintage with a cold summer but excellent harvest season; 2006 has just come out of its aging; 2005 a finished wine and outstanding vintage, balance, fruit, length, an almost perfect vintage.
