China will not 'sit on its hands' over Hong Kong
The Chinese ambassador to the UK says that the central government in China would not "sit on its hands and watch" if the situation in Hong Kong deteriorates further. Liu Xiaoming added: "We have enough solutions and enough power within the limit of basic law to quell any unrest swiftly". His comments at a press conference in London on Thursday came days after Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab was told by Beijing to stop interfering in Hong Kong's affairs. Report by Jonesia.
