Tokyo's removal of Seoul from its whitelist,... has only a "handful" of real effects on Korea.
That's coming from Kim Hyun-chong... during an interview with TBS radio on Monday.
According to the Deputy National Security Advisor, this conclusion was made after reviewing around 12-hundred strategic materials affected by the decision.
He pointed out that this is why President Moon believes South Korea could come out victorious in this trade row.
Kim also mentioned Seoul needs to reduce its reliance on other countries for national security,... as there is no guarantee that the same kind of problem couldn't occur in the security sector.
Regarding his trip to Washington last month,... the official clarified that he did not ask the U.S. for mediation,... as doing so would only have made Korea a "global pushover".
