North Korea's state media says the North will hold the second meeting of its 14th Supreme People's Assembly, the regime's rubberstamp parliament, later this month.
This is only four months after the North held the first meeting in April.
During that meeting, the Supreme People's Assembly re-elected Kim Jong-un as the leader and representative of the regime, replaced the regime's cabinet, and revised the constitution.
Watchers say it's quite rare to see the North hold the parliamentary meeting twice in a single year.
The upcoming meeting could deal with the regime's five-year economic development plan -- due in 2020 -- and foreign policy goals, including its denuclearization talks with the U.S.
