Moon says through 'peace economy' Korea can overtake Japan's economy

President Moon Jae-in says Korea should turn Japan's trade restrictions into an opportunity to revitalize the local economy.
Speaking during a weekly meeting with his top aides,... the president highlighted the need for determination in order to overcome Japan's retaliatory trade measures.
"Japan can never stop the leap of our economy. Rather it will be a stimulant in fostering our will to become an economic power."
The president went on to say that once the peace economy is realized through economic cooperation between the two Koreas,... the country will eventually overtake Japan as an economic power.
The President's so-called peace economy envisions peace and economic development can reinforcing one another,... and providing a new growth engine for the economy.
